Comet FSMini

So I've just picked this board out of the shop this last week and it's nothing short of amazing. I absolutely love the size, it's only 36" as compared to it's bigger 40" version which makes for sharper turning and faster sliding. Not only that, but since I walk with my board everywhere it's not near as much of a hassle to carry around. Also, don't let the smaller size fool you, if you're only looking for a board to get around town, slide, and freeride, this board can also handle hills quite well and can still hit 30-40 mph with no trouble at all.

The Comet FSMini also has plenty of concave to keep you locked in while turning and sliding, and have yet to slip off yet. There's also an inch of rocker on the board that I personally find comfortable and conforms to my feet. The FSMini also comes with a drop through truck mount for easier pushing, more speed and stability down hills, and I've also found that it gives more control while sliding as compared to a normal mounted truck. It also has a slight overhang which makes it possible to pop it up when you're getting off and you can do manuals and such, but if you're looking for a board to get technical with, I think it would be better to search around for something with a bit of an actual nose and kicktail. I've had a lot of people recommend this for smaller riders, but in all honesty I think it's a great all around board no matter your size, especially if you plan on carrying it around everywhere, I'm riding it right now with 83a Orangatang Durians, 180mm randall trucks, and bones reds, and it's a dream. Whether you're a new or old time rider and are familiar with comet or not, I highly recommend picking up this little slice of sliding heaven.
